10 steps to properly cleaning your bunny's litter box

​Cleaning your bunny's Litter Box properly is an essential part of keeping your bunny in top health, and maintaining a long, happy life. It also is an essential part of Litter Box Training in the early days of bringing your new baby bunny home. Click READ MORE below in order to view all ten steps to cleaning your bunny's Litter Box thoroughly and properly.

The Steps are as follows:
1. Take a paper towel and fully remove all the Litter from the Litter Box.
2. Then proceed to rinse with hot water on both the front and back of the Litter Box.
3. Create a mixture in a Spray Bottle of 40% Ammonia to 60% water and thoroughly spray the front and back. Then let that sit for 10-15 minutes to kill any potential Bacteria.
4. Following the 15 Minutes re-rinse the Litter Box with hot water.
5. Re-fill the Litter Box with hot water and Anti-Bacterial Soap, and let that sit for roughly 10 minutes.
6. Rinse your bunny's litter box out thoroughly with warm water.
7. Dry the Litter box with a clean cloth or paper towel, making sure no moisture remains.
8. Fill the Litter Box all the way across with at least an Inch thick of Litter and gently pat down.
9. Once the Litter Box is filled, Cover roughly 20% of the top of the litter with a 50% mixture of Timothy and Alfalfa Hay
10. On day 4 or 5 Simply repeat steps one through nine thus eliminating any odors and bacteria.
This is by far the most effective way we have created to clean litter boxes. Bunnies grow up with absolutely no health issues at all that can potentially spur from improper cleaning. The steps, when followed, do work to perfection, so I would strongly recommend adapting this method if you have not already!
