Although, I have used this product for years in case of a bunny emergency, my dog Scarlette was recently hit by a speeding vehicle in a hit and run. She had a dislocated hip that required surgery, and a huge gash on her lower left leg. On that particular part of her leg, the skin was too thin to stitch. Following her surgery, the Vet still could not get the wound on her leg to heal, and we were left to letting air hit the wound in order to scab up and heal. Obviously with an open wound like that, there is a huge risk of infection, which is what worried me the most. So, I turned to Vetericyn. Hoping to heal the wound, let it scab, and reduce the risk of infection. The results were a complete success! Her leg is now scabbing, healing, and completely infection free. Take a paper towel and fully remove all the Litter from the Litter Box.
2. Then proceed to rinse with hot water on both the front and back of the Litter Box.
3. Create a mixture in a Spray Bottle of 40% Ammonia to 60% water and thoroughly spray the front and back. Then let that sit for 10-15 minutes to kill any potential Bacteria.
4. Following the 15 Minutes re-rinse the Litter Box with hot water.
5. Re-fill the Litter Box with hot water and Anti-Bacterial Soap, and let that sit for roughly 10 minutes.
6. Rinse your bunny's litter box out thoroughly with warm water.
7. Dry the Litter box with a clean cloth or paper towel, making sure no moisture remains.
8. Fill the Litter Box all the way across with at least an Inch thick of Litter and gently pat down.
9. Once the Litter Box is filled, Cover roughly 20% of the top of the litter with a 50% mixture of Timothy and Alfalfa Hay
10. On day 4 or 5 Simply repeat steps one through nine thus eliminating any odors and bacteria.
This is by far the most effective way we have created to clean litter boxes. Bunnies grow up with absolutely no health issues at all that can potentially spur from improper cleaning. The steps, when followed, do work to perfection, so I would strongly recommend adapting this method if you have not already!
As always if you have any additional questions or concerns please always feel free to reach out at any time. Bunnies are unique in which they do not have sweat glands. In light of this bunnies love and need consistent access to fresh bottled or sterile water. Tap water is not applicable due to an excess of foreign minerals and bacteria domesticated bunnies are unaccustomed to.
2. Bunnies require an area of shade to retreat to at all times. Blanket heat penetrating through a window on your bunny for the duration of the day can potentially be harmful to keeping their bodies temperature regulated.
3. Room temperature should hover consistently from 68 to 72 degrees. A few degrees above 72 is still optimal as long as steps 1 and 2 are followed.
Outdoor Safety
Keeping your bunny safe outdoors requires far more stringent guidelines.
*It is important to note no matter the temperature always monitor your bunny outdoors to keep them safe from other animals or venturing into areas that are not safety regulated.
1. If you would like to take in some fresh air with your bunny 80-82 degrees should be the temperature threshold.
2. Always be mindful to check the floor temperature to prevent their paws from being burnt. Do this by using your foot or hand to check the heat intensity. If it is too hot for your bare skin, it is too hot for your bunnies paws.
3. Make sure there is access to a vast shaded area for them to retreat to.
4. Extended lengths outdoors should be avoided at all costs. 20-25 minutes of outdoor activity is strongly recommended.
5. Same as indoors, bring a fresh bowl of chilled bottled water and compound this by making sure they always have access to drink.
6. Pre-scan the outdoor area for harmful summer insects such as bees and mosquitos. Most importantly expand the scan area further for any nest areas.
7. Be mindful of air quality. Forest fires have been running rampant in Canada this month. With the smoke making its way down to the United States your local weather updater will have your areas air quality. If the air quality in your area for the day currently trends outside of good to very good, please keep playtime solely to an indoor day.
As always if you have any additional questions or concerns please always feel free to reach out at any time. Our Holland Lops are specifically domesticated indoor pets and far removed from wild society for decades. With this comes the added benefit of them liking cleanliness, and to groom themselves on a daily basis. The truth is Holland Lops do not carry an odor at all. They subconsciously litter train, and as a result your bunny remains virtually odorless. Unlike a cat or dog that would need grooming from outdoor activities that will mat their fur, track dirt, and eventually create a situation in which a visit to the groomer will be required.
Second, Rabbits are Prey Animals and Vegetarians by nature. The majority of other house pets are predators, in which meat is a required part of their daily diet. What causes an odor in their feces is actually the bacteria ingested within the meat. When it comes to Rabbits their droppings are small solid pellet like circles with essentially no odor at all due to their Vegetarian diet. While Urine across the board will carry a small odor, by the time it is ready for a bunny to go home, their urination habits have been solely limited to their litter box.
Lastly, with proper directives we give on setting their initial set up properly, it simply comes down to proper cleaning of their habitat, in which the steps are simplistic and followed very easily. Combining all these factors, paints a very different, and much more accurate picture of what it is like to own a indoor pet rabbit. Thus breaking the stigma of rabbits being what some will call a smelly animal. As long as the proper maintenance is taken care of by their owner, rabbits are in fact one of the most cleanly and odorless domesticated pets in the world today. I feel this is a true testament to the spreading of proper education, and the result being rabbits being one of the most sought out pets in the world today! The reason is because the pet industry classifies them in the same category as Chinchillas, Hamsters, and small pets. Bunnies are not even the same species, they are not Rodents and not Gerbils. they are unique to the rest of the the small pet category in they are Lagamorphs. For risk of avoiding a Law Suit a prominent company reached out to us to promote one of their treats that was fantastic from the front view. It actually had a Bunny on it and seemed very healthy to the human perception in that it included Yogurt in the name. Yogurt is generally a low fat very healthy snack for human beings. Looking at the ingredients, there was a very high sugar content. So before we continued with the promotion we needed to receive an indication that there was not any sugar added outside of the listed amount. The CEO could not sign off on verifying that creating a little bit of a Red Flag. The same pattern carries out with small animal chew toy packets. One out of the 8 Chew Toys that come with the $20 dollar packet is actually safe for your pet bunny. This eliminates the new bunny owner to even do their own due diligence. This will instill your bunny getting to the Vegetable Phase in a manner where they are in top health and continue that pattern. This results in them staying in the correct category weight wise and do not end up with diabetes at 5 years old because of false advertising.

Here are just some sample reviews available to the public on the internet:
imnotajeanpocket
I bought these Yogurt Drops and as I was looking them up they don't seem to be good for Rabbits at all. Now as someone who considers themselves an expert in Holland Lops and a pretty well versed understanding of the bunny world in general, I was pretty baffled to see how vigorously the third most popular pet in the world was used for the most cruel type of lab testing there could possibly be. Additionally, I was surprised at the amount of bunny farms there are in the United States, roughly 5,000, used for Fur and Meat at a net profit ratio that is so low and unregulated that you could make more money literally taking a job at $15 dollars an hour minimum wage and make more money without torturing a pet. I quickly want to add, lets make no mistake, bunnies in this day and age should be used to be domesticated pets to make lives better, and for that reason only. So how can that be, and why would it occur then? The answer is it funnels to Multi-Billion Dollar Industries which are Pharma and Fashion. These industries have lawyers by the hundreds and will crush any non-profit group that stands in their way, it is unfortunately the honest truth and the way capitalism works. How can it can be countered? To this point it has not, and will continue to not, but if we can put a face of the owner of the pet bunny like the little girl who's parents got her a pet bunny pictured above, maybe the narrative can be altered as a point of starting by humanizing bunnies into the category of cats and dogs. To give you a breakdown of what does occur to these bunnies, and I use bunnies as often as possible because the word rabbit in my opinion devalues them as how great of a pet they are and favors them as more consistent to a "Lab Rat". Click READ MORE below:

Lab Testing Facts:
-150,000 Bunnies are used on testing on a yearly basis
-Bunnies are chosen and preferred due to their docile nature and ability to easily handle
-They are mostly used to test toxicity rates on cosmetics and house hold products
-Majority of testing is done on their eyes, which have lead to ulcers, bleeding and worse outcomes.
-The list of companies to list is too long! Even Bleach is tested on them! I will not disclose specific companies but you can easily find the list by googling Peta and companies that experiment on bunnies
-The results mostly come out inconclusive because well they are Lagomorphs and transfer from a bunny to a human is too big of a jump liability wise for a "Go Ahead" on a specific product.
So what does that leave us with? A whole bunch of tortured bunnies that could have been with families.
If you are a Director or higher at Pfizer, Celgene, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Procter and Gamble Etc. you are compensated with Restricted Stock Units, a yearly bonus, and a very large salary. How do I know this? I used to do retirement plans for certain employees there. The sliver of revenue put into Research and Development really can be adjusted by just over compensating every single Director and higher less and look for some alternative routes, which can be found! Every time someone puts a chemical in a bunnies eye I want the picture in this article to run through their mind, and if that does not change your sentiment on what your about to potentially put this bunny through then maybe humanity towards animals has just been lost all together. With that said, I will still continue to do our part in getting wonderful bunnies to wonderful families, and maybe there will come a day where bunnies will be banned from testing. They are a pet, they are not some random animal. Their intelligence level is baffling and their love is unyielding. No animal, especially a bunny deserves that.
Wishing ALL The Bunny Lovers and Activists in the world all of our love and praise,
Matthew- Co-Owner of Lovely Bunny's
Phone; (973) 330-2928
Email: Lovelybunnysnj@aol.com
Website: www.lovelybunnys.com
