Bunnies popularity on a trend line is continuing to trend closer and closer to all traditional pets. However, it is important to know that like other traditional pets being dogs and cat mainly, these wonderful animals do require a commitment of anywhere of from 8-12 years. I spoke with a gentleman yesterday who wanted a bunny because his girlfriend's bunny died within a week. So immediately I went through all the standard factors of this like poor breeding, underage bunnies, stasis from not knowing the signs of this or any other possibilities. Please Be Aware Of A New Bunny Facebook Scam Circulating!!!

Three current customers have now reached out to us prior to purchasing a bunny from us disclosing how they had found bunnies for sale on Facebook. The page looks extremely legitimate with pictures and videos of bunnies. Their information is limited and no website is available to view creating a lack of transparency. The charge usually ranges from about $110-$175 for a bunny, and then an offered $65 delivery fee. These customers purchased the bunnies for therapy pets and for their children, and furthermore were blocked following funds transferred. This has created trauma more then the financial aspect, and it is truly a shame this exploitation continues. I strongly recommend staying away from purchasing bunnies solely off Facebook until enough information can be spread to shut this scam down for good. If you do see any of these pages on Facebook who follow this pattern and are interested in a baby bunny, I would recommend calling us here at Lovely Bunny's and reporting the page immediately. Additionally only focus on breeders with legitimate listed phone numbers willing to answer all your questions by phone call.

*The internet has always had it's positive and negatives, or you can even venture to say good and evil. As time goes on and A.I. advances, people are receiving more and more "Robo" Spam Calls, Sketchy Emails, and people asking to pay for their services with Pre-Paid Gift Cards. Puppy Scams have fortunately been declining. However, over the past few weeks, I was pretty amazed on our initial phone call with customers at just how many people have, or know someone who has fell victim to one of these Puppy Scams. I do think new laws should be added in place where the punishment is far more severe than it currently is. First, it essentially is wire fraud in addition to scamming and stealing with no intention on ever following through on their end. Regulation crack downs on Pet Stores, Puppy Mills and Bunny Mills has been creating a consolidation in reputable breeders taking on the majority of the Pet Sales Market. We have heard horror stories of customers coming to us who purchased a 5 week old bunny from a pet store, with no aftercare information, which aside from a humane aspect is 100% illegal! Another customer purchased a bunny from a breeder, it passed three days later and they were not eligible for a refund or a new bunny.
